Beginning of Spring

We've had unusually warm weather, about 83 degrees today, which makes it feel like Spring. For some reason, everyone seems to think we need to have lots of non-native flowers and the Iceland Poppy is a popular choice. I must admit they are extremely colorful and vibrant when an entire bed is planted with the full range of colors. Everything from pale yellows and peaches to vibrant oranges and deep yellows makes quite a statement when seen from a distance.
